What is on your mind?

There is a lot of time that we will ask the
person around us "what is on your mind?"

What is on your mind?

What you want? What you wish to do?
What you want for lunch later? What is your plan for tonight? and
so on...

We always ask others this kind of
questions. How bout ourselves? Do we really ever ask what is on
our mind actually?

I am doubt that a lot of you ever ask yourself about it...

Hmmm... A new day
begin, yesterday will be getting further from you... Then, do you
ever consider that what had you done in the past are all the things
that come into your mind?

People nowadays, they somehow treat
others better than treating themselves!

They like to follow the crowd, follow
their buddy group. But how about spending some time for
themselves? They just like to conform with other, they think it will
be just fine to follow others... But the fact is by conforming others
nonsensely, do they really get what they want and what they wish
to?

Oh ya, sometime in some situation. yes, we
have to follow others but there is not every situation that we must always
conform to others....

Why some people can always be grateful, happy,
appreciative but some can't?

A lot of people claim that they feel very
useless, unhappy, demotivated, hopeless, miserable... Why this happen? It is
most probably they use to following others and doing something that they don't
like... Because of it! They have had all those uneasy feeling.

We shall learn to look at ourselves, love
ourselves more, understand ourselves, listen to our soul, see what we want
actually!

Give some time for yourself, think
properly what is really on your mind... Then, you shall work for it... This
is what you shall have done it early... You for sure will feel that you are
worth to live in this world, you are worth to be who are you, you will feel
better and like yourself more!

Friend, go with the crowd might be good but if it is too much already, you will only hurt yourself!

"Speak to your mind, ask the mind what you really want!"

Kiwi...

Kiwiiiiiii...

Please don't confuse by this kiwi ...

This is the kiwi bird origin from New Zealand...

And what I want to talk about is the Kiwi fruit!!

The Kiwi tree...

Something about Kiwi :

high in vitamin C, good source of fiber, contains decent amounts of vitamins
A and E, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, and copper, important in promoting
respiratory tract health, effective against respiratory-related health problems
including wheezing, shortness of breath, and high coughing and rich in
antioxidants and enzymes.

The yellow and the green one...

My Research Method textbook....

All I can see is word, word and word..... with blue highlighter on it!!

Luckily, something nice makes me feel better now...

Beast Stalker - 证人

The Beast Stalker is a Hong Kong action movie directed by Dante Lam Chiu-Yin.
There are 2 writers Dante Lam and Jack Ng Wai-Lun. The action in the movie
are assisted by Stephen Tung Wai and Bruce Law Lai-Yin. The most important
are the actors and actress...

They are Nicholas Tse Ting-Fung, Nick Cheong Ka-Fai, Zhang JingChu, Miao Pu, Liu Kai-Chi, Philip Keong Ho-Man, Kwok Jin-Hung, Sherman Chung Shu-Man, Zhang-He, Wong Suet-Yin, Wong Sum-Yin and Joe Cheong Tung-Cho.

The story line of the movie is very good and nice. Amazing - the word I can use to describe it...

A little about the story:

Nicholas Tse leads the cast as Sergeant Tong, a perfectionist cop. He treated those who under him strictly. This make them don't really like him. In the film's opening action sequence, he engages in a car chase with evil bastard Cheung Yat-Tung (Keung Ho-Man), but the pursuit ends in a spectacular slow-motion smash-on-em-up involving four vehicles and multiple individuals, all whose lives change in seconds. Tong is still able to stop Cheung's getaway by firing after their escaping vehicle. However, he unwittingly shoots a young girl (Wong Sum-Yin), who later dies from the bullet wounds.

During the ensuing months, Tong has befriended the remaining twin, Ling (Wong Suet-Yin), and is still racked with guilt over his hand in the death of Ling's sister. Few months later, another twin of the yong girl, Ling (Wong Suet Yin) is being kidnapped by Hung (Nick Cheung) under Cheung's instruction to treaten Ann Gao (Zhang JingChu) to destroy the evidence linking Cheung to his crime. Ann, the mother of Ling and also the lawyer who deals with cheung's case. However, Tong witnessed the kidnapping and is already on the case, and will stop at nothing to make sure that Ling is safe from harm......

Some pictures of the movie...

Nicholas Tse and Zhang JingChu (discussing about Ann's daughter)

Nick Cheung and Miao Pu (escaping and rushing to hospital)

Nick Cheung (fighting with Tung)

Nicholas Tse and Wong Suet-Yin (Hiding themselves from Hung)

Nicholas Tse (crying due to his guilt towards the young girl he killed)

* Fyi, this movie had received some awards -
In
the28th Hong Kong Film Awards 2009Hong Kong, Hong Kong - Best Actor(Nick Cheung Ka-Fai), Best Supporting Actor(Liao Qi-Zhi)

I recommend those who have not watch this movie, can actually spend some time on it. It is only about 111 minutes(Almost 2 hours). You will not regret watching it.. :)

Snails...

Relax for a while after studying for Research Method... Just now was blogging about my chinese blog. And I uploaded a picture of snail there. The "snail" gave me an inspiration to blog about it here... Haha...
Is anyone ever say that you look like a snail?

Is it you are insulting the person if you say he or she looks like a snail?

Hmmm... I think it isn't... Haha... As my parents always say that I am like a snail!

Did I really look like one? Why??

Because I always act so slow in almost everything I do - for example : cooking, eating and the most obvious one is BATHING!!!

At the end, I am always the first one waken up by my dad in the morning!! He always says that I need to take longer time in preparing myself before going to school or work...

What to do?? Its not my fault though... So I used to feel very angry when my dad wake me up... But now, I really miss the time howhe wake me up in the morning... Study in uni now, I only can depend on my alarm clock to wake me up... But sometimes it doesn't work at all!!! The consequense is I attend the class late!!! Haha... :)

Basically, snail represents that a person is doing his or her work slowly (Obviously we know about this because snail itself crawls so damn slow!!)... that it sometimes can cause uncomfort to others...
Snails are actually very nice and beautiful creatures.... They are very special for me...

The shell is very special for this little one...

Say,"Hello, everyone!"

So small and tiny... How they survive??? This is such a miracle for these little baby to growth healthily...

The Ecosystem is always very amazing.... Can you see that?? A frog on the snail!!

The Crystal snail... Very pure and nice!

Aiyo... This couple is KISSING... So romantic ya... We have disturbed their privacy... Oopsss...

The Hairy one... Look at the shell!

Wow... Amazing right?? Snails are so small and tiny, they seems so weak due to their physical appearance! But, they are actually very strong! See how they survive and you will understand their strength...

Human is like snails too... Even we have some weakness, but we can actually build our inner strength. This is why we can still survive till today!

"Physical appearance is important, however, inner strength is more important"

Red Wine...

Something new for my blog, from now onwards, I will try to talk more about something healthy... Hence, I have chosen red wine as the 1st topic...
But honestly, I myself do not drink any alcohol or wine due to allergy! Still, I will like to share with you about it.

First, what is red wine to you?
- It is a type of wine having a red color derived from skins of dark-colored grapes.
- All types of red wine are made by growing and processing red (or black) grapes.

And France is the country which produced the most wine...

The best red wine included factors like which country and region the grapes are grown, how the climate, temperature, rain amount, and soil conditions affect the grapes during their growing season, and how each individual wine maker treats the grapes once they are harvested (picked).

So, what is the negative and positive effects of red wine??

For negative:
Red wine is alcohol and high alcohol consumption results in a higher blood pressure and may cause hypertension. Too much consumption of wine can lead to cancer but the level of consumption also need to depends on a person's physiological basis.
Red wine contains Tannin and these compounds are plant polyphenols and may cause headaches. So, for those who are sensitive with Tannin shall control the amount of the red wine consumption.

For positive: (There are a lot of benefits for red wine so I will just briefly talk about it...)
Red wine can reduce coronary heart diseases, maintains the immune system, Polyphenols in wine are excellent antioxidants, the Resveratrol (trans-3,5,4'-trihydroxystilbene) which is a naturally occurring antioxidant too that decreases the stickiness of blood platelets and helps blood vessels remain open and flexible, red grapes contain flavonoids which are also powerful antioxidants that work as cancer preventives, anti-bacterial activity, and anti-stress(red wine have a calming influence).

And, red wine can help to fight FAT!!! <--- especially to lady!!!

Research shows that red wine can reduces fat storage within the body by increasing the estrogen levels. Female sex hormone does play a role in the body's metabolism.

Of course, there are different types of red wine... And the most common types are:

Barbera - Grown most successfully in Italy's Piedmont region, Barbera is quite acidic with full body and light tannins. It is commonly used as a blending wine.

Brunello - an offshoot of the Sangiovese grape. It is notable because it is the only grape permitted for Brunello di Montalcino, a rare, expensive, fruity and bold Tuscan red wine.

Cabernet Franc - is more often blended with other grapes than bottled by itself. Cabernet Franc is light to medium bodied and sometimes made into a wine called Chinon. It is most impressively grown in France’s Loire (luWAR) Valley, although it is usually overshadowed by the more
popular Cabernet Sauvignon. Cabernet Franc is also grown in California and New York, and is gaining popularity in other regions.

Cabernet Sauvignon - can be found in many of the wine regions mentioned above. In the Bordeaux region of France, it is considered the noblest grape of all. It is, in fact, the grape that makes fine Bordeaux wines. Cabernet Sauvignon can age well for decades. It is dark purple or ruby in color, medium to full bodied, and has a beautiful array of intense aromas and flavors. Cabernet Sauvignon would be considered a dry red wine and blends well with Sangiovese, Merlot and Shiraz.

Pinot Noir - a difficult grape to grow, but yields an exceptional wine with great complexity when conditions are correct. It is grown in the Burgundy region of France, in Oregon and in the
cooler regions of California. Many California grown Pinot Noir grapes are used for rose style champagnes. It has light to moderate body with deliciously varied aromas and flavors.

Syrah or Shiraz - Known as Shiraz in Australia and South Africa and as Syrah in California and France, this wine has low to moderate acidity making it very drinkable. Shiraz/Syrah exhibits wonderful flavors of spice and fruit. Many think the French version is more acidic,
therefore better to accompany food than the Australian version. Shiraz/Syrah is blended with Grenache and Cabernet.

There are still different type of red wine produced. If you want to know more about red wine, just google it then you can easily check on the details of it.

"Suitable amount of red wine benefits you, too much of red wine harms you"

Death...

It is raining again... Kampar rains everyday at around this time... I was
actually studying TCP - Existential Theory. But nothing went into my mind... I
think it is because my head was a little dizzy due to not enough sleep...
Haha...

Why the title for today is Death??

What is death to you?

Are you feeling uncomfortable with the word "death"?

We are human, we are living beings, everyone of us including animals, plants will come to a point at the end of their life - death! And death is our final destiny
right??

Is there anyone can choose not to die?
The answer is NO!

But we can choose how to respond to it right??

Let me see, we are always very near to death but we are also very far from it... What does this means?

As an example, your beloved family members passed away, your pet
died due to diseases, your friends passed away in a car accident... These are
all the death you are actually experiencing, they are all very close and near to
you, however its very far from you too... as you are not the one who really are
really in that situation... "Am I talking something hard for you to understand?
Is it very subjective? Nvm, it still fine for me..."

As I mentioned just now, everyone of us will die one day, when? No one know... But, we can choose to how to respond to it...

How? ?

Since you were born to this world, it depends on how you want to live your life. You can choose to live a meaningful life, you can also choose to live aimlessly... Which one is better? Meaningful? Directionless?

You choose a meaningful life, like Mother Teresa (contribute her whole life for
people around), like Qu Yuan - 屈原, (a Chinese scholar and minister to the
King from the southern Chu during the
Warring States Period) He contributed his whole life to the nation and at the end, he waded into the Miluo River and commited suicide as a protest against the corruption of the era. Both Mother Teresa and Qu Yuan contribut thier life to others meaningfully in different ways.

Our Mother Teresa... * For me, she is the prettiest woman...

An image of Qu Yuan, I am not sure how he look exactly...

How about you? How you want to live your life?

Some people doesn't take death as a bad thing, they see it as a very positive thing in our life... Just like Rollo May (1909-1994), he viewed death as something very positive and he mentioned that the final destiny in our life is death... Again, we are the one who choose how to live our life before we meet death!

A lady, Elisabeth Kubler-Ross (1969, 1974), she studied about death and dying... And she had divided death into the DABDA which were deny, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance... A lot of us, we will deny our death, we can't accept the existence of it! Then it will follow by anger towards oneself or others... Later, they might even think of bargaining about their death, bargaining that they can live a longer life. At the end, when they realise that it is a fact already and they cannot do
anything about it, they will feel sad and accept it...

Is everyone going through this stage??

Not exactly right? Some people will face it with an open heart!! That is such a great thing...

No matter what, death is actually nothing so horrible or fearful... It is always depends on how you think... (pumpkin, 2009) :)

As long we live a meaningful, happy, memorable life, even if one day we are
no longer in this world, there will still be someone who remember us!

"Live a life that is worth to you and you will not regret about it and you
will never fear of death..."

Oreo Cheesecake... (Ken's bday)

Monday (14/9/09) which was yesterday, was Ah Ken's birthday.

We gave him a surprise birthday party during midnight - 12 am ++

Venue: Ghany (We always went there... The waiters there were quite easy going type... Not Bad!!)

There were 2 cakes for Ken. The first one was a small cake just for those guys to play with it... I know it was a waste but what to do... Haha... They just wanted to have some fun only.

The second one was the secret recipe oreo cheesecake! Yummy...

My share... Woohoo.... Nice I like it... I didn't have the pict of the whole cake.

Why Oreo Cheesecake? This is because our Mr. ken like cheese a lot... He also loves mutton! Haha... :)

Anyway, say happy bday to him again... Wish him all the best in the exam! Gambateh...

Utar new blocks...

Hmmm... Just back from my 2nd paper - Personality!
And we had our exam at the new block as I had told u in previous blog, which was Block G....

The new blocks were very nice compare to the old one... :) It was not I dont like the old blocks, it was only that the new blocks were much nicer!!

After exam, with seniors... And also some noise which interrupted a lot of people... I managed to get some pictures of the nice blocks...

Block G... If not mistaken, it will be our future library... Huge building... :)

Inside Block G... I took this pict from groundfloor. Basically, there is all together 3 floor. But, amazingly is there is underground! I didnt go down btw.

There is the underground... Not sure where it leads to.

Me, looked so funny.

The view from Block G to the old blocks... Far end there is Block B.
Other block... I think is Block H.
Inside the unknown block... Very nice right?
A "bridge" links this block to another block... Wow... :)

So Tropica. I like the design with trees here... Nice nice.

Bricks in the shape of maple leaf. I liked maple leaf so much! So cute
to see these bricks.

A garden... When tired already, maybe can come here and rest, but I think
my skin will get darker!!! As the weather here is damn hot.

Lastly, here is the place for bicycle parking... Still got yellow line to show
the parking lots... Haha...

I like my uni more than before with the beautiful buildings and scenery... And it is really a nice and comfortable place for study... Love it so much!
